In anticipation of the farmers' march to Delhi scheduled for Friday, security measures have been escalated at the Shambhu border on NH-44. Both Punjab and Haryana police have mobilized substantial resources to oversee the increasing number of protesting crowds.
Over 100 farmers are gearing up to head towards Delhi on Friday to assert their demands. On Thursday, Haryana police fortified the barricades close to the border, incorporating three additional layers, which include a wire mesh and movable traffic barriers, onto the already elaborate seven-layer arrangement that consists of walls, iron nails, and barbed wire. Furthermore, a tent was constructed as a component of the preparations.

The protest area at the Shambhu border continues to grow as farmers arrive from various Punjab districts such as Taran Taran, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Sangrur, and Patiala, as well as from Haryana districts like Ambala and Sirsa.
Dialogue is the sole solution to address the farmers' issues, who ought to engage in discussions with Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, as Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan suggested on Thursday, extending a conciliatory hand to the farmers protesting along the Punjab-Haryana border.
"No other administration has accomplished as much for farmers as the Modi administration. We have supported them across all sectors," Mr. Paswan remarked to journalists at a press conference held here.
"I would encourage them (farmers) that our Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is very approachable; anyone wishing to discuss any matter will find no better venue for dialogue," he added.
