CBI arrests BRS leader K Kavitha in corruption case linked to Delhi excise policy 'scam' case

 


The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested BRS chief K Kavitha from Tihar jail in connection with Delhi excise tax-related corruption cases, executives learned. K Kavitha, daughter of MLC from Telangana and BRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao, was arrested by the Directorate General of Police (ED) on March 15 in connection with a money laundering case related to Delhi's fraud laws.

Arrested CBI on Wednesday informed the Delhi court that it had interrogated Bharatiya Janata Party (BRS) leader K Kavitha in Tihar Jail. K Kavitha was sent to judicial custody in Tihar jail.

The Delhi court on April 5 allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to interrogate Kavitha in jail, but Kavitha challenged the order. On March 15, the ED arrested 46-year-old K Kavitha from her residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

K Kavitha is accused of being a key member of the 'South Group', which the investigating agency says paid over Rs 100 million to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in exchange for a portion of the national liquor licence. Delhi city.

Jailed leader K Kavitha wrote on Tuesday that investigations by central agencies and "trials by media" have damaged her reputation and violated her identity.
