Increase Port

The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the commencement of construction for Vadhvan Port.

Vadhvan Port, situated close to Dahanu town in Palghar district, is set to become one of the biggest deep-sea ports in India, offering direct links to global shipping lanes, resulting in decreased travel times and expenses.

The complete expense of this undertaking amounts to roughly Rs. 76,000 hundred crores. The goal is to create a top-notch marine entrance that will enhance the nation's commerce and financial development by serving big container ships, providing greater depths, and accommodating extremely large cargo vessels.

With cutting-edge technology and modern infrastructure, the harbor will include deep docks, effective cargo processing capabilities, and contemporary port administration systems.

Fishing assignments

The Prime Minister is also set to unveil and lay the cornerstone of 218 fisheries initiatives valued at approximately ₹1,560 crores, with the goal of strengthening the industry's infrastructure and output nationwide.

Countrywide Launch of Boat Communication

- Modi is set to inaugurate the nationwide implementation of Boat Communication and Assistance system with an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 360 crores.

Equivalent: 360 crore.

- In this initiative, 100,000 transponders will be gradually placed on automated and motorized fishing boats in 13 coastal regions and administrative divisions.

The ship's communication and support system is homegrown technology created by ISRO, which will aid in setting up two-way communication when fishermen are out at sea and also assist in rescue missions and guarantee the safety of fishermen.
