Hezbollah rockets hit the Golan Heights after Israeli attacks in Lebanon

Hezbollah has fired dozens of rockets into the occupied Golan Heights following Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, as fears of an all-out war grow. The Israeli military said it struck Hezbollah weapons in the Bekaa Valley overnight. Lebanon's health ministry said one person was killed and 30 others injured. In response, Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, said it had targeted Israeli military positions in the Golan with a missile bombardment. Israeli authorities said two houses were hit and one person was injured. Palestinian Fatah has accused Israel of killing a senior member of its armed wing in Lebanon in an attempt to ignite a regional conflict. The Israeli military said it killed Khalil al-Makdah in an attack in the southern port city of Sidon because he was acting on behalf of Iran's Revolutionary Guard and was involved in attacks and arms trafficking in the occupied West Bank. It would be the first attack against a member of Fatah since the start of the Gaza war, which led to an escalation of cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. Tensions have risen in recent weeks after Israel killed a senior Hezbollah official in Beirut, who it accused of killing 12 children in a missile attack. So far, more than 530 people have been killed in Lebanon, including at least 130 civilians, and 49 people in Israel, including 26 civilians. Almost 200,000 people were also displaced on both sides of the border. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told troops on Tuesday that the army's "center of gravity" was gradually shifting from Gaza to the Lebanese border. "The attack on the ammunition depots in Lebanon is a preparation for anything that can happen," he said. On Wednesday morning, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that planes had struck overnight several Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in the northern Bekaa Valley - a stronghold of the group - as well as a compound used by an air defense system. The Israeli military also said it targeted a Hezbollah fighter in the southern border village of Beit Lif. Lebanon's health ministry said the attacks in the Bekaa region claimed one victim, whose identity has not been released, and that nine children were among the 30 injured. The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that the attacks targeted the outskirts of the city of Bodai, the area between Saraain and Safri, and Nabi Chit. The Ministry of Health also said that a man was killed in Beit Lif, while Hezbollah confirmed the death of a fighter from the village named Hussein Mostafa.
