Elon Musk Responds to Attempted Assassination of Trump: "No Efforts Targeting Biden or Harris"
Trump was the subject of a purported assassination plot on Sunday in Florida, according to the FBI. Reports from the Republican presidential candidate's campaign and law enforcement confirm his safety and unharmed status.
In light of the alleged assassination attempt targeting former President Donald Trump, billionaire Elon Musk expressed bewilderment at the lack of similar efforts directed towards President Joe Biden and Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump was the subject of an alleged assassination attempt in Florida on Sunday, the FBI announced.
Both the Republican presidential candidate's campaign and law enforcement confirmed he was unharmed and safe. The US Secret Service revealed that at least one of its agents discharged their firearm at an individual near the perimeter of Trump's golf course. A firearm resembling an "AK-47 style rifle" equipped with a scope, as well as a GoPro video camera, was recovered at the scene.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, publicly supports Trump as he prepares to compete against Vice President Harris in the upcoming US Presidential elections in November. Authorities have not yet verified whether the suspect, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, discharged a weapon in the direction of the former president. Nonetheless, Secret Service agents did shoot at the individual who was concealed in the bushes on the golf course.
Rafael Barros of the Secret Service, quoted by news agency AFP, stated, "The individual's ability to fire at our agents is currently uncertain." The FBI has declared that it is looking into what seems to be a potential assassination attempt on former President Trump.
