During a rally in Doda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that terrorism is on the decline in Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized the prevalence of 'dynastic politics' in the region. This rally marks the beginning of Modi's campaign leading up to the first phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir on September 18.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for new leadership to combat the negative impacts of dynastic politics and expressed confidence in working together with the people to ensure a secure and prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir.
This marked the inaugural election rally conducted by the prime minister preceding the initial phase of the assembly election set for September 18.
Following Independence, Jammu and Kashmir fell under the influence of foreign entities, while dynastic politics weakened the region from within. The children of political dynasties were promoted while new leadership was stifled,” stated Modi. Upon assuming power in 2014, his government prioritized the development of young leadership. Additionally, Modi asserted that terrorism is waning in Jammu and Kashmir. He took aim at Rahul Gandhi's "Mohabbat ki Dukaan", accusing him and other opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir of operating "nafrat ki dukaan" (shops of hate) disguised as "mohabbat ki dukaan" (shops of love).
