India's Lok Sabha member Swati Maliwal filed a complaint with the Delhi police on Thursday, alleging that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal misbehaved with his close aide. The former DCW chief recorded his statement before the police. Earlier, a team of Delhi police spent more than four hours at Kejriwal's residence for allegedly harassing him at his home, officials said. They said the team, led by Additional Inspector of Police PS Kushwaha, went to Maliwal's house around 1.50 pm to get details of the incident.
Kushwaha was with a woman police officer. It is not clear whether the police recorded the AAP MP's statement on the matter.
On May 13, Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station and alleged that one of Kejriwal's employees "harassed" him at the President's residence. Earlier today, the National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar over Maliwal's allegations. His hearing will be held on Friday at 11:00.
On May 14, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the Maliwal incident was "very sad".
