Many incidents of violence were reported from Ananthapuramu, Palnadu and Tirupati districts on and after election day.
There were also reports of protests before the vote, enemy properties and offices being set on fire, threats, vandalism and stone throwing.
The EC noted that most of these incidents occurred in Annamaya, Chittoor and Palnadu districts and fewer in Guntur, Anantapur and Nandyal districts.
