PM Modi in Varanasi:
The Prime Minister's campaign on Monday was packed with people. The announcement was made in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where the seventh round of Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 1. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Thousands of people came to meet Prime Minister Modi. Many offered flowers, while others waved, hoping the president would respond with equal enthusiasm.
On Monday night, the streets of the holy city of Varanasi were filled with people. In a post on Prime Minister Modi's social media account, he was seen holding a replica of a lotus flower, the symbol of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The president was seen constantly waving to the crowd.
Meanwhile, hundreds of supporters showered Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration with flowers. A giant Bharatiya Janata Party flag was also seen at the grand event on Monday.
Fairy lights adorned the streets of Varanasi as PM Modi passed through his promotional tour. Even a few buildings were renovated after PM Modi's roadshow. People stand on the terraces of their houses to watch the grand spectacle. Many participants carried banners reading "Modi parivar [Modi family]".
