India's Global Role As Prime Minister Sends Ajit Doval With Plan for Peace between Russia and Ukraine. 

India, due to its autonomous foreign strategy, is in a distinctive position to mediate peace between Russia and Ukraine. In a stand-off between Europe and its western partners against Russia, supported by China, India introduces a new dimension in a predominantly two-sided world. 

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's groundbreaking trip to Ukraine, India is now in a position to act as a mediator in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine that has spanned several years. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is set to journey to Moscow this week for imperative deliberations on this matter. 

In the month of July, Prime Minister Modi also journeyed to Russia for an official trip and engaged in extensive talks with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. 

India, due to its autonomous foreign policy, is in a distinct position to facilitate peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Having reached a deadlock with Russia, supported by China, NATO allies in Europe are looking for a breakthrough. In this mostly two-sided world, India, known for its diplomacy with many countries, creates a new alignment. 

"We (India) are not impartial. Since the start, we have chosen to align ourselves with one perspective. We have opted for the peace faction. "We have arrived from the country of Buddha where conflict has no room," PM Modi stated while on his most recent trip to Ukraine. 

During discussions with Mr Zelensky amidst the conflict, PM Modi expressed India's willingness to participate actively in all initiatives aimed at bringing peace to Ukraine. He also mentioned his desire to personally aid in resolving the conflict. 

PM Modi, who had previously toured Russia, proceeded his trip to Ukraine with a phone conversation to President Putin. "Communicated with President Putin today," he had posted on social networking site X on August 27, mentioning that the two leaders "Swapped viewpoints on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and my thoughts from the recent trip to Ukraine. Repeated India's unwavering dedication to aid a prompt, enduring, and harmonious settlement of the dispute.
