Bangladesh Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus during his visit to the Maheshwari Temple said that human rights and freedom of expression are the main goals of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, officially appointed as the chief councilor, said on Tuesday that the main goal of the interim government is to ensure human rights and freedom of expression for all citizens. His remarks were made during a visit to the Dhakeshwar National Temple. "We have to establish human rights and freedom of expression. This is our main goal," said Professor Yunus during his visit. Addressing the Hindu community, Yunus urged them to consider themselves equal members of the nation, according to local media. "Just say that you are a human being, a citizen of Bangladesh and it is your constitutional right that should be guaranteed. Just ask for this, nothing more," he advised.

He repeated the principle of equality before the law, declaring: "I am here to say that we are all equal; there is no room to create differences here. "Professor Yunus asked the public to support the maintenance of the rule of law, saying: "Please help us decide this, be patient and judge later whether we can do it or not." If we can't, then blame us. "This is the main thing," said the Dhaka Tribune.
