5 Facts About Group Captain Shubhansh Shukla, Ready for Space Mission
Group Captain Shubhansh Shukla has been selected as the Chief Astronaut for the upcoming joint India-US mission to the International Space Station (ISS). He is the youngest designated astronaut of ISRO.

Born on 10 October 1985 in Lucknow, he was a Wing Commander until his recent promotion to Group Captain.
He is an alumnus of the National Defence University and commissioned into the Indian Air Force Fighter Wing on 17 June 2006.
He will fly on Axiom 4 flight powered by SpaceX rocket and Crew Dragon. He completed the Fighter Combat Instructor Course at the prestigious Tactical and Combat Development Establishment (TACDE) School. He is also a test pilot with around 2000 flight hours. He has flown a variety of aircraft including the Su-30 MKI, MiG-21, MiG-29, Jaguar, BAe Hawk, Domnia and An-32.
